Shrishti Singh, PhD

I help commercialize early-stage life sciences technologies (therapeutics, medical devices and AI based diagnostics).

About Me

Currently, I work as an Innovation Fellow in the Innovation Partnerships Office at University of Michigan currently work as an Innovation Fellow (Life Sciences) in the Innovation Partnerships Office at the University of Michigan. My main tasks include evaluating new invention reports or intellectual property, asses its patentability through prior art searches, conducting market research, and assessing the commercial viability of the invention. Additional responsibilities also include identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities, and partnerships to promote innovation. Worked with: NDAs, MTAs, Licensing Agreements, Market Research, Equity Analysis, Pre and Post-Market Evaluation. I bring value as a researcher, investment analyst, and entrepreneur in a cross-functional team.

Additionally, my expertise also lies in life sciences research with >7 years of experience in drug and biomaterials development, and biotechnology. I can create new scientific formulations, improve existing analytical workflows and enhance drug/biologic process development, as evidenced by authorship on a US patent. The proprietary formulation developed by me is scalable, robust and reproducible, key identifiers of a clinically relevant product. I also led projects with 3 therapeutic leads to determine the pre-clinical properties of the proprietary formulation and improved batch-to-batch reproducibility of the formulation by 40%.

I aid pharmaceutical/biotech companies to improve their decision matrices and drive business decisions using strong research and critical thinking skills. I have 15 months of start-up co-founder experience with stakeholder communication, determining business objectives and defining  goal-oriented tasks/timelines. I have generated <$200,000 in non-dilutive funding, through state or federal grants to execute business needs. I have won several pitch competitions and crowdsourcing awards and been listed as an inventor on 64 Best Healthcare Technologies 2023 by STAT News.
